Bechan Retreats Reopening
With strict adherence to the Welsh Government’s Coronavirus regulations, we are very excited to be reopening our cottages at Bechan Retreats.
The location and siting of our cottages makes for a very relaxing and tranquil experience and the few small procedural changes we are making will ensure the cottages are safe for our guests and friends.
New Covid Cleaning Practices
The cleanliness of our cottages is extremely important to us and we have now introduced additional procedures in response to the current pandemic.
Enhanced cleaning regime. Cottages and all surfaces cleaned as normal, then disinfect all surfaces and items that may have been touched. For example, Door and Window handles, Light Switches, Appliances/Remotes will be disinfected. All crockery thoroughly cleaned. Bedlinen washed by a professional laundry company in accordance with the latest virus-control procedures.
Our staff will wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will work safely, distancing themselves as appropriate. We are following the latest Welsh Government advice and have developed new Safe Working Practices and undertaken fresh Risk Assessments.
A few Small Changes for our Guests
You are welcome to arrive anytime from 17:00 on the arrival day, and we ask that you leave by 09.30 on the final day.
We really need guests to strictly keep to these times, which are essential to provide us with enough time to clean our cottages following the Government guidance and distancing rules.
Disinfected and placed at the cottages.
We have replaced our Guest Information books with laminated and wipeable folders. All local paper literature/brochures have been removed, so if you need any information on local attractions, please ask and we will source new & unused copies for you.
At the end of your stay, we also ask that you please strip the beds and place bedding, including duvets and pillows, inside the bags provided. Please empty the fridge and bag all rubbish. This will help to ensure the safety of our staff.
During Your Stay
If during a stay, there is any reason why we may need to visit your cottage, we will inform you with as much notice as possible. We will adhere to all Government physical distancing rules and PPE.
We are asking all guests to follow the latest Government recommendations. These include guidance on who can travel, overnight stays and physical distancing advice.
If during your stay, any person starts to show symptoms of Coronavirus or are advised to self-isolate, please inform us as soon as possible so that we are able to help & advise you.

If you cannot complete your stay due to Government Restrictions, then you can:
- move your break to another available date or;
