Who are Bechan Elite Retreats?
Bechan Elite Retreats are a collection of three self-catering accommodation options (2 luxury lodges and one self-catering apartment) based on a working farm in the stunning Powys countryside.

Please note, you must be over 18 years of age to make a booking.

What are the payment methods?
Bank transfer, cheque or cash.

What are the booking terms?

Bookings within 6 weeks:
Requires 100% of the holiday cost to be paid at the time of booking. Non-refundable or transferable. Payable by means as listed above

Bookings outside 6 weeks:
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, then 6 weeks prior to the arrival date the remainder becomes due, payable as above.
The deposit is non-refundable.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

We understand that sometimes you are prevented or unable to take your break; please contact us at the earliest opportunity. We will do our best to make changes to your booking. We would require a minimum of 30 days’ notice to do this and cannot guarantee that an alternative date would be available. If we do manage to find a booking within 30 days, we will refund 75%.

What if I have to cancel due to Government imposed restrictions?

If you cannot complete your stay due to Government restrictions, then you can:

  • move your break to another available date or;
  • cancel your booking completely and receive a full refund.

All other booking terms and conditions remain unchanged.

What are the check in and check out times for my booking?

The check-in time is: 5PM
The check-out time is: 09:30AM
We really need guests to strictly keep to these times, which are essential to provide us with enough time to clean our cottages following the Government Covid 19 guidance and distancing rules.

What is provided within the accommodation?

All accommodation is self-catering, for a detailed list of the facilities in each lodge, please review the individual ‘Accommodation’ pages on our website. We provide cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils, washing up liquid, salt and pepper, toilet roll, linen, towels, bedding, toiletries.

You must use your accommodation and its contents with care and leave it in a clean and tidy condition on departure. We reserve the right to charge you for any extra cleaning, missing items or damage.

Are towels and bed linen included?

Clean towels and bed linen are always provided.

Is there a smoking policy?

Smoking is not permitted in any buildings, including accommodation (this includes e-cigarettes and tobacco).

How are the Cottages cleaned?

The cleanliness of our cottages is extremely important to us and we have now introduced additional procedures in response to the current pandemic.

Enhanced cleaning regime.  Cottages and all surfaces cleaned as normal, then disinfect all surfaces and items that may have been touched. For example, Door and Window handles, Light Switches, Appliances/Remotes will be disinfected.   All crockery thoroughly cleaned.  Bedlinen washed by a professional laundry company in accordance with the latest virus-control procedures.

Our staff will wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and will work safely, distancing themselves as appropriate. We are following the latest Welsh Government advice and have developed new Safe Working Practices and undertaken fresh Risk Assessments.

Where can I get the Keys to the Cottage?

The keys will be disinfected and placed at the cottage.

What if I need assistance during my stay?

Any assistance that you may require or concerns you may have during your holiday should be brought to the attention of a member of our team at the farm. We aim to provide prompt assistance to you so that you can continue to enjoy your holiday.

We are asking  all guests to follow the latest Coronavirus Government recommendations.  These include guidance on who can travel,  overnight stays and physical distancing advice.

If during your stay, any person starts to show symptoms of Coronavirus or are advised to self-isolate, please inform us as soon as possible so that we are able to help & advise you.

If there is any reason why we may need to visit your cottage during your stay, we will inform you with as much notice as possible.  We will adhere to all Government physical distancing rules and use PPE.

Is there a departure process to follow?

At the end of your stay, we only ask that you please strip the beds and place bedding, including duvets and pillows, inside the bags provided. Please empty the fridge and bag all rubbish.  This will help to ensure the safety of our staff.
