Bird & Wildlife Watching Escapes

Sitting peacefully amongst the sights and sounds of nature is exactly what you can expect if that is where your happy space is. We are blessed with an abundance of Birds living in Pant Wood where Barn Owl Lodge and Kites Nest Lodges are located and on Bechan Brook where The Kingfisher & The Woodpecker Cabins are located.   Our regulars are Red Kites, which are nesting in Pant Wood, Buzzards and Woodpeckers. The Greater Spotted Woodpecker is a regular on the feeders and the Green Woodpecker has been seen in the woods. Others include Siskins, Flycatchers, Redstarts and Merlins.   Rare White Kites have been witnessed  a couple of miles from Bechan Retreats also.

If you choose a Cabin next to Bechan Brook, you are highly likely to see Herons, Little Egrets and Kingfishers. Mummy Duck and her babies are a wonderful sight too, as are the Swallows and Swifts darting about catching flies on the wing. Bechan Brook is also home to Brown Trout and Crayfish which can be witnessed at certain times of the years also.

If you sit quietly later in the day,  you may witness Badgers, of which we have a number of sets, Foxes and even a Pine Martin is possible.

Barn Owl Lodge and Kites Nest are located in the top area of the Farm by Pant Wood.  The Kingfisher & The Woodpecker are located lower down of the farm yard by Bechan Brook.
